Proyecto de Voluntariado en Alemania! Buscan Voluntarios Españoles!
We are still looking for a volunteer from Spain for the following project: EVS in the Kindergarten St. Marien in Hammelburg
October 2016 bis End of July 2017 (10 months)
Information about the kindergarten:
We are an integrative day nursery with a crèche and kindergarten-group which belongs to a catholic church. We look after children from 6 month to 6 years. We are open: from 7 a.m. till 4:30 p.m. Children learn with their head and their heart. The confidence of the adults in the skills and abilities of each child and its power, ultimately determines our attitude and educational for us. It is the starting point of any educational action.
We would like that the children:
- explore the world with every senses and the stimulus-rich world of experience of the kindergarten outside and inside,
- are encouraged to bring their skills and interests to develop through their imagination and creativity,
- learn to act independently, making them self-confident. This includes their own responsibility to be able to act and decide with whom, where and with what they want to play and learn.
Tasks of the volunteers:
Working time: Monday till Friday 9.00 – 12:30 and 13:00 – 16:30
- animation
- games, painting, handcrafts,
- sport, outdoor activities
- helping during the lunchtime (preparation and cleaning) with the
children,
- language animation
- to develop own projects (cooking, games, songs from the region of the
volunteer)
- team meetings and trainings.
In the project are 2 other volunteers (from Greece and Italy) who will live together but work in different kindergartens Hammelburg. In the region there are around 15 other volunteers. They are spending a lot of time together, you can read about it on the blog:

Volunteer Will Carry Out activity in recreation centre San Giovanni Apostolo in Palermo, Italy.
San Giovanni Apostolo Onlus is a local Christian church community
based in Palermo, Sicily. With aim to give support to parents,
educate, motivate and encourage children and young adults from
disadvantage area. Main objectives of the community for every children
and young adult is to raise individual development of self-esteem and
growth, social awareness and inclusion in the group by actively
encouraging them (and yourself) to be involved in all activities.
The community was founded in 2000 in Palermo by local parents and
teachers from San Giovanni Apostolo church, where the main
beneficiaries are children and young adults aged between 6 and 24
years, divided into the three age groups, parents, local schools and
community. The main reason of founding the Association was and still
is to fight against high school drop – off rate, risk of delinquency
and / or with multi-problem situation which could lead to young adult
crime.
